I ran the Save a Sister 5K. This is my first attempt at the 5K. I ran pretty much as per my plans. I failed to look at my watch to see exactly how I was running and that cost me a sub 22. At the 1/2 point I saw that I was just over 11 minutes but I knew that I should be able to run the second half a bit faster. At the 3 mile mark I had a runner in front and one behind me. I keep waiting for one of them to break away. Finally the one behind me started to make a move so I took off and closed strong. As I was sprinting I partially saw the clock at 21:--- stupid me, I should have looked at the watch and started out sooner to sprint instead of waiting for someone else to to make the move. The last .10 of the race I ran in 21 seconds or 3:30 pace. Overall I have nothing to complain about, great day, great weather great run!

Great, beautiful day to run!

Way to go 22 is an excellent time for a 5k!

Not a bad race Scott... all these little "clock" issues will pass with experience.

Keep up the good work!
